Varsity Shoremen Grinds Out Win on Tough Lanes to Remain Undefeated (5-0)

Avon Lake Varsity boys improved to 5-0 with a match victory of 2246-2226 at Rebman Recreation. Under tough lane conditions, the Shoremen trailed by 30 pins after game 1 and only 20 pins after game two. After the first baker game, the Shoremen picked up 6 more pins and were only down 14. The Shoremen finished with a 212 game to win the match.  The boys were led by freshman Cooper Poling with a 402 two game series. Sophomore Chris Richard came up big with a game two score of 185. The JV boys picked up another win (4-1) by defeating LW with a match score of 1447-1362. The JV team was led by Dominic Ballistrea with a two game series of 267 and Ethan Neuhoff with a 265 series. The Shoregals bowled against a bye and picked up the win (2-3). Freshman Emily Ratzel had a 317 series, and Hailey Spears a 279.
