Their path to the trophy was defined by offensive dominance, beginning with high-scoring victories over Kenston (8-5) and Westlake (7-4), followed by a decisive 8-1 rout of the host team, Avon. The tournament culminated in a thrilling championship showdown against St. Ignatius. After battling to a 4-4 draw through regulation, the Shoremen stayed resilient through a tense five-minute, 3-on-3 overtime period. The title was ultimately decided in a high-stakes, five-person shootout, where the Shoremen showed nerves of steel to clinch the 5-4 victory.
