Shoremen Hockey Dominates Eagles

The Avon Lake hockey team secured a commanding 9-1 victory over the Eagles, highlighted by exceptional play and widespread scoring. Kooper Nilson initially put the Shoremen ahead in the first period, assisted by Evan Wallace. The team then extended its lead to 4-0 before the end of the first with a phenomenal three shorthanded goals scored by Otto Mahnke (assisted by Brady Gibel), Ryan Gibel (assisted by Kooper Nilson), and Nate LePrevost (unassisted). In the second period, Mahnke netted his second goal of the night, assisted by LePrevost, making it 5-1. Avon Lake closed out the scoring in the third period with goals from Ryan Holley (assisted by Kaleb Ireland), Brady Gibel (with his second goal), Nate LePrevost (with his second goal), and Kooper Nilson (with his second goal), with assists credited to Kollin Nilson, Shawn Otting, and Anthony Zarella. The Shoremen will return to the ice tomorrow, December 7, at 4:15 p.m. at the Brooklyn Ice Arena to take on Olmsted Falls.
