The Avon Lake Shoremen faced a challenging road test on Friday night, suffering a tough loss during their trip to Elyria. The Shoremen showed great resilience in the first half, keeping the game within reach and trailing the Pioneers by just seven points at the break. However, the momentum shifted in the second half as the Pioneers pulled away, creating a more difficult stretch for the visitors. Leading the Shoremen offensively was Christopher Gaulding, who finished the night with a team-high 14 points. Looking to bounce back quickly, Avon Lake returns to its home court tomorrow, Saturday, January 31st, to host Fairview Park.
