The Shoremen left it all on the mat at Perrysburg High School this past Saturday, clinching an impressive 5th-place team finish out of a massive field of 44 schools. The weekend was highlighted by Brayden Patterson (150) and Ambrose Leopoli (157), who both battled to 4th-place finishes to officially punch their tickets to the state tournament. They will be supported by teammates Nate Grieger (120) and Luke Peace (165), who secured 5th-place finishes and are state alternates, while Aide Omoijuanfo (175) added to the team’s success with a solid 6th-place showing. With the momentum of a top-five team performance behind them, the Shoremen now prepare for the big stage at The Ohio State University for the State Wrestling meet, running from March 13–15.
