Landmark Season for Boys' and Girl's Wrestling

It is a landmark season for Avon Lake High School as the wrestling program achieved an incredible feat, qualifying all 20 of its athletes for their respective District tournaments. In an unprecedented feat for the school, the Shoremen wrestling team advanced all 14 weight classes to the district tournament at Perrysburg High School—marking the first time in program history that every weight class has advanced. The momentum continued with the Shoregal wrestlers, as all six athletes successfully qualified for their districts at Findlay High School. With the chance to secure a spot at the State wrestling championships just one weekend away, these 20 competitors have already cemented their place in the school’s record books.
