JV Shoregals fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 15-9 loss to Keystone Wildcats on Tuesday.
Despite the loss, JV Shoregals did collect 11 hits in the high-scoring affair. JV Shoregals notched five runs in the fifth inning. JV Shoregals offense in the inning was led by Brooke Moore, Ella Green, Maya White, Sarah Austin, and Natalie Baker, who each had RBIs in the inning.
Moore took the loss for JV Shoregals. The pitcher surrendered 13 runs on nine hits over four innings, striking out five.
JV Shoregals racked up 11 hits in the game. Mackenzie Anspaugh and Ella Green each had multiple hits for Avon Lake JV Shoregals. Anspaugh went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead JV Shoregals in hits. Anspaugh led JV Shoregals with three stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with six stolen bases.
