The Shoremen Golf team got off to a good start on Friday, taking first place in the rain-shortened Elyria Catholic Invitational at Brentwood. The tournament was called after 14 holes due to severe weather, and Avon Lake led the way with a score of +10 in relation to par. Brandon Boris was the medalist at even par and Jake Schrift followed up at one over. Owen Conroy got his first varsity action and held his own. Overall it was a good day, despite the weather. Go Shoremen!
