The Shoremen snapped a two game losing streak by beating Blue North Division foe West Geauga by a score of 10-1. Avon Lake was led by Jared Aslaksen who reached a career milestone by scoring his 99th and 100th goals. Aslaksen, only a junior, is the all-time leader in goals for the Shoremen. He also added two assists. Senior defenseman Alex Kelly had a strong overall game by scoring two goals and adding two assists. Tommy Kacmarcik continued an impressive freshman campaign with two goals and an assist. Tim Lubertozzi also had 3 points (1G & 2A) in the game and surpassed his point total from all of last season. The other Avon Lake goals were scored by Joey Kleinhenz, Nick Ospelt, and assistant captain Patrick Graney. Colin Reynolds and Graney (2) were also credited with assists on the night.
Goaltender Dillon Aslaksen turned aside 11 shots to earn the victory and remain unbeaten on the season. Avon Lake is now 18-3-1 overall and 8-0-1 in league play. They lead the Blue North Division and have 3 league games remaining. They travel to Kent State University on January 28th to take on Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy. The puck drops at 2:30pm
