FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

We encourage student athletes to plan ahead to obtain the funds needed for their Pay-To-Participate Fee.  To assist families in need, Avon Lake City Schools have established a Scholarship Fund.  It is our desire to not see any student athlete miss the opportunity to participate due to true financial need.  Any student eligible for free lunch assistance automatically qualifies for a waiver of Pay-to-Participate fees.  We ask that each family first obtain and complete the free and reduced lunch application from the website’s District page under Resources, prior to requesting assistance from the Scholarship Fund.  The Scholarship Fund has been established to address special circumstances and financial hardship for families that do not qualify for free or reduced lunch assistance.

All applications will be treated on an individual basis and kept in strict confidence.  Please note, that any application for assistance must be received at least two (2) weeks prior to the above stated deadlines for each season.

Please feel free to contact the Avon Lake City Schools Athletic Office for details on financial assistance or if you should have any questions at (440) 933-5164.

Donations to the Avon Lake City Schools Pay-To-Participate Scholarship Fund will be accepted from businesses, organizations and individuals.  Donations made to support individual programs will NOT be accepted.  All donations will be used to support the ENTIRE district athletic program.  Donations can be sent to:
